I have always found my way back to plants. As a botanical formulator I have traveled to the Valley of Roses in Bulgaria to harvest at dawn, watched the Pitahaya bloom once a year in the Baja night, and worked with the healing intelligence of plants that indigenous traditions have honored for thousands of years. Plants were my medium before I had a canvas.

These photographs were taken across more than a decade of living in close relationship with the botanical world in Baja California Sur, in India, in Mexico, on my farm in Mendocino, and in gardens that held more wisdom than any classroom. Through the act of mirroring, I discovered what was always there: a face, a spirit, a frequency, a signature or perhaps the imprint of God right there in the middle of a flower.

Each plant in this series carries a story older than the name we gave it. Healer. Warrior. Poison. Medicine. The same plant, in the right hands, could restore life or defend it. Indigenous wisdom has always understood this wholeness.
